In this blog, I will be telling all the Mechanical branch students how to prepare Production Engineering subject for GATE/IES. As all the mechanical branch aspirants will be aware that Production Engineering and its related subject like: Materials Science , Metrology and InspectionWelding Process,CAD/CAM/CIM. Is one of the most important subjects for mechanical branch. It is one of the core subject and the concepts should be clear to prepare for other subjects as well.

So, now question comes that how do you prepare it? What books to use? Which notes to be used? Which topic is most important ? I will be answering all these.

The above table shows the marks distribution for GATE/IES paper. It can be seen that the range of marks for this subject varies from 12 to 14 average being 15 which is 15 % of total marks. Obviously, the marks distribution also shows, it is one of the most important subject who’s question are mostly easy and you can score 100% in Production Engineering
